Pete Fordham has been fly fishing the New Zealand North Island rivers for 30 years.
In 1994 he retired from 25 years of cattle and deer ranching and has been
working as a professional guide since. A guide in all four seasons, Peter
specialises in summer back country fishing and is an avid dry fly enthusiast.
He covers all the famous back country rivers, headwaters and their tributaries
as well as the Lake Taupo watershed. In winter he guides on the local rivers
and streams.
Pete's innovative fly-tying nets a high catch
rate, and, as one of the busiest independent guides in the area, he enjoys
a 90% return rate of satisfied anglers.
A member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association, Pete
is associated with a number of top South Island guides and can help organise
fishing in the South Island of New Zealand
"...the
best part of fishing with Peter is the feeling that I am fishing with a
good friend. If you choose him as your guide/outfitter, I’m sure
you will have a fun time while you are catching some of the largest trout
on the planet."
